I didn’t realize how important prepping and priming the skin before applying makeup was until I started doing it. For this Saturday, I am showing you my most used and most loved primers for my desert dry skin. This Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser is everything my nose never knew it needed. The sides of my nose and the start of my cheek area have somewhat enlarged pores. This product smooths those out and doesn’t leave my skin feeling like silicone. I apply this after my moisturizer has set in.
These Sephora Radiant Luminizing Drops do wonders for my skin when I mix just a drop of this into my foundation or apply it on my cheek bones before my foundation. It has the prettiest glow and makes my face look healthy! Same with this Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector. I apply this under my foundation for a luminous glow and it is so beautiful. I don’t wear it on the daily but when I am going to an event or out for the evening and want to feel a little extra glow, this is my ticket. The MAC Prep & Prime Fix + has got to be the most consistently talked about product in the beauty community and I can attest why. I use the spray and my Real Techniques make up sponge to press my foundation into the skin and it gives me a flawless finish every time. I don’t always use an eye shadow primer but when I do, it is for the times that I am going out or need my eyes to last a little longer. This Too Faced 24 hour Shadow Insurance does the trick and I haven’t found another to compare to this one. All of these products I love so much and I will never apply my foundation again without priming and prepping it before hand. Rest in peace to all the makeup that didn’t stay as long as it should have without these products, ha! How do you prep and prime your skin?
