I FINALLY made it to a book club. Can you believe it? For two months, for a series of circumstances, I haven’t been able to go, BUT we are back! This month’s reads are also wrapped into the previous months reads. I didn’t get a lot of reading done because truthfully, I was uninspired by reading. Luckily, Saturday book club cleared that with me and I already have a thriftbooks.com order coming!
With my new books on the way, I am bound and determine to set social media aside for some good reads! Lately, I have been consuming myself into way more social media than I would care to be. So, back to the basics for some time.

I am feeling the nostalgia kick in from the spontaneous girl’s weekend I had with my bestie and new friend. We had a wonderful time and had some great laughs! Below are some pictures from our weekend! Enjoy! We also went to visit President Grant's family home. In the museum, we found dress up items so naturally, we put them on! I do not think there is a picture that can capture how insanely large this arch is! We were not able to ride to the top because of construction. (oh! Darn!...not) We also explored the old courthouse! So beautiful! This trip was random and full of love. I can't wait to be random more.
Things I did!
This week just whizzed on by. Maybe it is my minimal rest since two weekends ago, that I feel the weekend approach to be much needed. Not that last weekend, with my girlfriend’s road trip to St.Louis (more on this next week), wasn’t amazing, sometimes I just yearn to do minimal things, ya know?
Tonight, after work, is the birthday celebrations of one of my dearest, loveliest friends of all time. Seriously, he and his fiancé are the best! There is a fun little place called Diamond Jims that is hip and has delicious food choices that I will be celebrating his life with! Tomorrow morning, Daniella has pictures and a basketball game for the township. She has really started developing into a great ball player (I know-I am biased, but truly). I also have to, have to, have to take things to donation. They are consuming my house and I want to rid of them! I also have to make an appearance at the gym, because goals. Tomorrow evening, however, is the best part of the weekend. Andrew and I are having date night/Belated Valentine’s Day celebration. I am not sure where we are going but, stay tuned! Sunday I am looking forward to doing absolutely nothing after church. Well, aside from meal prep and the normal next week prep. BUT, I have Netflix and my coach with doggie snuggles on my mind. Sometimes you are single, your loved one can’t be near you, or you have taken a stand to do your own thing. Whatever the case may be, below are some tips to pamper you on this Valentine’s Day!
Whether you do all or one of them on Valentine’s Day, make sure that you still take time throughout the year to appreciate you! You are all you have, love you! |
