Friends, I have decided to do a mini-series here on the blog every Saturday for the new few weeks to cover some favorites of make-up and skin care. I hope you enjoy this Saturday’s topic of Foundations and Concealer’s that I have been loving. Let’s get started! Concealers: I have dark circles under my eyes that are darker than my soul. No, really. It is a thing and I am always finding concealers that do the cover up job well but also don’t leave my under eyes feeling like the desert sand and looking like I packed playdoh under them. Less is more with concealer but I always struggled with being able to apply less so it looked like more. Tarte Shape Tape is hands down the BEST concealer I have ever tried. Now I know that almost every YouTuber gets paid to say it but I am here as a non-paid participant STILL singing the praises. I have terrible dry skin but I don’t think this is too drying and it is hella thick so a ton goes a long way. Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define is runner up. It isn’t as thick as the Tarte Shape Tape but it still gets the job done. I do find it to be a bit more brightener and it is easily layered without getting cakey. Foundations: Foundations used to be the absolute arch nemesis of my make shopping experience. I have rosacea and I have dry skin and those silly little tests on how to find what tone you should be using never worked because my veins are awful and well, I’m just bad at that. Y’all, it was a WHOLE THING. L’Oreal True Match really was my true match. I had purchased a neutral undertone and that was waaaay off. So, I went back and purchased the Warm undertone and voila! It provides amazing coverage for my rosacea but is also build-able. I do think that you need a good powder to go with it, as it can be a bit cakey with the wrong one. It is incredibly moisturizing and lasts my entire work day. Bye Bye Foundation is another goodie. I like to wear this one when I don’t feel like wearing the whole make up scene but would like to be evened out a bit. I also enjoy that it has SPF on it. I wouldn’t consider it my ride or die but for a summer foundation, it is lovely. Maybelline Fit Me has moved to second place with finding the L’Oreal BUT I still love it so much. I also love that it really does make my skin look healthy and glowing with the dewy+smooth selection. It sits well under every powder that I pair with it and has really good coverage with the option to be build-able. I hope you enjoyed this mini installment of my current favorites. What are YOUR favorites?! All comments are my own thoughts and this post is NOT sponsored.
