Personal development is something that I have always continued to work on and recognize that it is something that I will always need. Click to read more on who I’ve been loving lately! There are so many people who scoff or turn their nose at the idea of always developing into a better person when in reality, they are probably the people who need it the most. I mean, lets all be honest about it. After all, being a jerk about someone always striving to do more, be more and recognize that they need tools to help them be best the version they were created to be, is not the way to live your life.
This list of my Top 5 podcasts help me strive to do my best, show up for myself and love on those a little deeper, longer and with more courage. Lewis Howes has got to be one of the best conversationalist with his guests. Not to mention, the guests that he has on his shows are enthusiastic, have incredible stories, and really move the audience to live beyond their best. Lewis is so wise and contributes so much to his listeners. You can find him here. I feel like because I always talk about Rachel Hollis and the impact she has had on me but also my marriage, that we are pretty much bff’s. I mean, isn’t that how it works? The podcast Rise is designed for women and motivates them to show up for their life. And, beyond showing up, be something to themselves in their life! Before I get all preachy, I will just say this. Rachel Hollis has come from a stormy past. She didn’t just show up in our homes one day and preach about things she has no experience on. This is why I love the Rise podcast. She shows all women that they can benefit from showing up for themselves every day because they are made for more. Rise Together is a podcast that Rachel co-hosts with her husband Dave Hollis. Together they have worked through the trenches of their marriage and have weathered many storms together from fostering children, battling personal issues, and battling finding a way to sync together in their marriage. They really have become an instrumental part in our household with Andrea and I and have become amazing role models of living your best marriage because you are being intentional about living your best life for yourself. If you can’t catch the podcast and you have Instagram, they also get on live Instagram at 9AM EST and chat. In one of the Hollis’ live streams, they had Brendon Burchard on. I hadn’t known of him so of course I tuned right in and this guy right here, is FIRE!!! He is such a positive light to the world and teaches others how to have High Performance Habits. Also, a book that is written about them and his podcast is called The Brendon Show. I haven’t had a chance to binge listen to all of his podcast episodes but I feel it coming, soon! In the meantime, I can tell you that the episodes I have listened to are a one in a million. Jenna Kutcher has got to be one of the most real entrepreneurs I have met online, and funny, and love mac n cheese. You guys, if you don’t troll her Instagram already, please at least go do that! She is an online business guru who helps thousands redefine success and chase bolder dreams. She teaches on her Goal Digger Podcast how to dig in, do the work and tackle your biggest goals along the way. I love her, not just because she is a pal to Rachel Hollis, but because she is wise and really wants to love on everyone to live with big goals and dreams while chipping away at them to make them come true. All of these individuals bring something unique and wonderful to the table. Beyond that, they are practical people. And who doesn’t love practical. They push out of the comfort zones but not with unrealistic expectations or models that aren’t real life. I am always searching for podcasts and personal development gurus to listen to so if you have any that I should give a listen to, please share! I would love to hear from you!
